Our story

It started with a secret café and a red door.

RedDoor began informally in 2015 and was formalised in 2017. Back then our café was almost a secret — the way in was an old red exit door beside it. Word got around Cloncurry, and when people asked how to find us, the answer was always the same: “go in through the red door.” The name stuck.

Today we're a registered not-for-profit charity (Multiskill Centre Ltd). We treat all people with respect and dignity, regardless of who they are or where they've come from in life.

  • We believe in the value of a good work routine
  • Education and real skills change lives
  • Support should be built around the person

Know someone we can help?

Whether you're a parent, a teacher, a support coordinator or reaching out for yourself — there's no wrong door. No referral is too small.

RedDoor works, learns and grows on Kalkadoon Country in Mount Isa and Mitakoodi Country in Cloncurry. We recognise the First Nations peoples of this region — their enduring connection to this land, and their place at the very heart of our community — and we're proud to walk alongside them every day.
